Good to Know Before You Book
A few simple ground rules so every build day is safe, smooth, and fun for everyone.
A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your date, and your reservation isn’t confirmed until we receive it. The remaining balance is due any time before your event, or the day of the event before it begins. Deposits and waivers apply to birthday parties and Mommy & Me play dates alike. We don’t require a card on file, and we don’t limit payment methods.
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel more than 14 days before your booking, we’ll email you a credit to use toward a future booking within 12 months. If you cancel within 14 days, payments made are forfeited. No-shows aren’t eligible for refunds or credits.
We can operate in rainy weather, depending on the location and how severe it is. For severe weather alerts, such as flooding, wind damage, or tornado watches and warnings, we may cancel to keep everyone safe. Weather reschedules are subject to our availability, so contact us early if a storm is on the way.
We serve a 25-mile radius around Birmingham, AL (35210). Outside that area? A travel surcharge applies: $25 for 26–35 miles, $50 for 36–45 miles, and $90 for 46–65 miles of driving distance from 35210. Farther than that? Ask for a quote. See our service area.
The Quarry is a 38-foot rig and needs about 3 car lengths of flat, level ground. We’ll park in the safest, most logical spot, which may be on your street or block a driveway, so give your neighbors a heads-up and tell us if you have a preferred spot. We never park anywhere that could endanger people, property, or equipment.
Booking a public park or other public spot? Check with the venue about permits and permission to park first. If we are told to leave, payments are not refunded unless you can show prior written permission.
At least one adult must stay with the children at all times, and there are three benches on board for parents. Every parent signs a waiver, which we’ll email in advance or you can sign the day of the event.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or end any event early if alcohol or drug use puts anyone’s safety at risk. Drugs are not tolerated in or around the Quarry.
You’re responsible for any property damage, above or below ground, that results from where you ask us to set up. Careless or intentional damage to the Quarry or its equipment by your guests may be billed to the host. Little Dirt Boss isn’t responsible for injuries or damage at your property or chosen location; that responsibility belongs to the client or host.
To keep the Quarry clean, no shoes and no food or drinks are allowed in the bus. Shoes go in our shoe parking lot at the door, and kids can play in socks or bare feet.
Our crew may take photos during your event to share on our website and social media. If you’d rather we didn’t, let us know before the event or when we arrive.
Tips for our crew are always appreciated, never required.
By paying your deposit, you agree to these policies.
